Tenuta Cucco
Barolo DOCG
The Serralunga sites, on the ridge north of the village.
Tenuta Cucco sits at the foot of the medieval castle of Serralunga d'Alba, in the eastern part of the Barolo zone. The estate grew around the historic Vigna Cucco vineyard and today focuses particularly on Nebbiolo and Barolo from Serralunga.
The Rossi Cairo family acquired Tenuta Cucco in 2015. The estate includes important sites within Serralunga, notably Cerrati and Bricco Voghera. Cerrati lies on the central ridge north of the village; its limestone- and clay-influenced soils and naturally firm tannic structure are closely associated with the long-lived style of Serralunga Barolo.
In the cellar, Tenuta Cucco emphasises preservation of Nebbiolo's varietal and territorial character, with extended ageing and a preference for large oak vessels.

Sipsense's introduction to Tenuta Cucco came through Matthias and the Rossi Cairo family during the visit to La Raia.
The family's stewardship extends from the biodynamic Gavi estate at La Raia to Tenuta Cucco in Serralunga d'Alba, where the focus shifts to Nebbiolo, Barolo and the historic vineyards of the Langhe.
Barolo DOCG del Comune di Serralunga d'Alba
100% Nebbiolo
The natural introduction to Tenuta Cucco's Barolo identity. The fruit is selected from parcels in Bricco Voghera and the lower part of Cerrati, with traditional extended ageing.
Barolo DOCG Cerrati
100% Nebbiolo
Cerrati moves the story from the wider commune to a specific cru. Tenuta Cucco is the only producer to bottle a Barolo carrying the Cerrati MGA alone.
Barolo DOCG Cerrati "Vigna Cucco" Riserva
100% Nebbiolo · Vigna Cucco, upper Cerrati
Vigna Cucco comes from the highest part of the Cerrati hill, the historic vineyard around which the estate developed. The Riserva is produced only in the finest vintages from this limited parcel and is designed for extended ageing.
The Tenuta Cucco selection is available to discuss with importers, distributors and hospitality groups.
